B.A. Christ's College, Cambridge 1567, M.A. Jesus, Cambridge 1572, ordained priest 1574, chaplain for Jesus til 1581, licensed one of the 12 preachers of the university 1576, sent to preach at Bury St Edmunds 1583, admitted Dth. at Cambridge 1585, treasurer of St Paul's Cathedral 1586, rector of Cottingham and parson of St Andrews, Holborn 1586, canon of Westminster 1587, household chaplain for John Whitgift 1592, bishop of London 1597, action alleging he had committed treason was brought but suppressed 1604, Abp. Of Canterbury 1604-10, chancellor of Oxford 1608, Died in London 1610 or 12.
