Biography

 Patrick Dunbar was born illegitimate before 1504 in Scotland. He was made legitimate on 6 December 1543 in Edinburgh when James Dunbar was named as the father. Preceptum legitimationis Patrick Dunbar bastard, natural son of the late James Dunbar in Sudy. He lived at Sanquhar, Forres, Moray in 1560. His testament was registered 17 August 1596. Patrik Dunbar of Bennethfield, parish Avach and sheriff of Inverness.
