Biography
I started working at the University in 1993 following my Degree in Commerce. Over the years I've worked in the following Departments within the University:
Politics and International Relations
Geography
Events -External Affairs
Biological Sciences
College of Physical Sciences, College Office
Vice-Principal's Office
and now the Business School.
The Business School is keen to engage with schools, both Primary and Secondary, raising aspirations of children and also raising awareness of the Business School and the University. Following a period of market research relating to school engagement, we now offer a number of opportunities to local schools, from inviting pupils on campus to bespoke workshops, competitions to mock interviews.
I run a number of workshops which inform young people about what happens at a University, uses some business terminology and also allows pupils to develop their employability skills. Please feel free to contact me to find out more.
The Young Enterprise scheme was a leading factor in my career choices. I enjoyed this whilst at school and am now proud to be on the board of Young Enterprise Grampian.
I enjoy Distance Learning courses and over the years I've undertaken Distance Learning courses in Marketing and also Counselling. I have recently completed a Veterinary Assistant Distance Learning Diploma.
Outside work I enjoy caravanning, dog walks, photography, swimming, reading, and socialising.
