You are invited to join an online roundtable event themed on 'Understanding Gen-Z: Our Future Employees'. Referring to anyone born between 1997 and 2012, Gen-Z's are entering and changing the norms for how many businesses operate.
For many in management, Gen-Z’s are tech savvy and ambitious talents full of ideas and unbridled enthusiasm. For others, Gen-Z’s are an unknown generation, regularly making headlines for many of the wrong reasons
What motivates today’s young talent? What expectations do Gen-Z have on employers? How should businesses prepare to embrace young talents? How can employing Gen-Z’s bring value to your business?
To address these questions, we have brought together four aspirational young talents from diverse backgrounds. Organised as a roundtable discussion, questions from the audience will shape our event. Our invited speakers are:
Vadym Kapliuk, President / Founder, Aberdeen Legacy Association: A 2nd year student originally from Ukraine, Vadym is passionate about connecting alumni with current students. Within 6 months of launch, his association became the University’s largest student association.
Maxwell McKay, Founder and CEO, HeyIT: Recruiting 12 people for a start-up at just 15 years old, Maxwell has been running start-ups since before most of his peers even had the option to study their first business course at school.
Wasifa Pasha, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Banking, HSBC: Identified as a high performing talent during an internship, Wasifa faced the choice of a fast track promotion opportunity at HSBC or to return to complete her postgraduate study.
Ella Taylor, Consulting Intern, Trajectry: Considered a cross-cultural individual, Ella was born in Singapore, grew up in Thailand, and now lives in China whilst she completes her final year of studies. She is currently working in innovation consulting alongside pursuing other projects related to technological/entrepreneurial conferences and green tech initiatives.
