Support Students' Skills Development

Support Students' Skills Development

Key facts

The University’s Pathway to Success programme aims to maximise student employability by developing their skills and Aberdeen Graduate Attributes. Pathway to Success allows students to develop their skills in areas which are important to them by attending employer events, skills development workshops and completing online activities and courses.

Pathway to Success has been developed to incorporate the key strengths of our co-curricular activities: the STAR Award, Leadership Academy and Aberdeen Employability Boost Award, which will no longer run.

Pathway to Success is open to all students from across all years of study and subjects areas, with several hundred students expecting to take part in each academic year.

A key aspect of this flagship programme is the contribution employers make by delivering workshops. Topics could include any aspects of leadership such as strategic planning, motivational skills, team work or dealing with conflict as well as wider-ranging skills sessions on presentation skills, networking, time management or practical training on interviews or assessment centres.
