Careers Fairs

There are opportunities for organisations to attend careers fairs on and off campus during the Autumn term. These events are attended by students and graduates who are looking for information on graduate jobs, work experience opportunities and recruitment processes.

Recruitment presentations

These events are a great way to let our students know about your placements and vacancies, as well as your recruitment procedures and selection criteria. Find out more.

Guest lectures, seminars and workshops

Your input to this type of event helps students understand 'real world' challenges, issues, current trends, and allows valuable engagement with relevant organisations. We welcome individuals and teams from companies of all sizes and across all work sectors.  

Previous sessions have included business games, delivery of lectures relevant to your sector, case study material, workshop delivery, panel discussions, and delivery of curriculum lecture material.

Employer Advisory Groups

To assist with the development of employability in degree programmes each academic School has an Employer Advisory Group or Industrial Board. There are opportunities for external organisations, employers and alumni to participate in these Advisory Groups.

Career Development: Find Your Direction

We welcome input from employers to the taught course 'Career Development: Find Your Direction'.  This course supports students to prepare effective job applications, devise a tailored CV, practise for interviews and trial personality and aptitude tests. There are opportunities for external organisations to deliver guest lectures, participate in student presentation sessions or sponsor a student achievement prize.

Careers afternoons and drop-in sessions

There are numerous 'mini careers fairs' and careers afternoons that take place in academic schools. Contact us so that we can put you in contact with the relevant staff. We can also set up drop in sessions or your own careers afternoon, advertise, and book a venue, free of charge.

Employer in the Foyer

Have a stand in the Students' Union foyer for an afternoon. Speak to students from various years of study and subject areas. Contact Aberdeen University Students' Association ausa@abdn.ac.uk for more information.
