Prayer , Adiuvet nos quesumus.

A prayer to God, asking that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary we may receive help and, free of the dangers which beset us, rejoice forever in peace.

Adiuvet nos quesumus do\mine deus beate Marie semper virgi\nis intercessio veneranda atque a cunc\tis periculis absolutos in tua faciat semper\ pace gaudere. Per dominum.\

Prayer, Ave regina angelorum.

A prayer to the Virgin Mary (see AH, 31, p 156). The author invokes her as the queen of angels and archangels, the praise and glory of the saints, the noble dwelling-place of the Trinity, and the guiltless bearer of him who was more than guiltless, who in purity bore for the world its pure saviour. He asks that through Christ's bloody wounds which the Virgin wept to see, and through his mercy and her piety, we may be made worthy to see her and rejoice in heaven. He asks that through her joys she may show us her clemency in times of great distress. He asks that through the Holy Trinity, she may be with him at his end, that she may protect his spirit, and that through Christ she may guide us now and forever in the way of eternal salvation.

Ave regina angelorum et archangelorum\
laus et gloria sanctorum
et tocius diminu\tis nobile triclinium
tu innocens plus quam\ innocentem genuisti.
Tu munda mundi mun\do mundum salvatorem genuisti.
Propter plagas\ Ihesu Christi
quas cruentas flens vidisti
propter suam\ misericordiam
et pro tua magna pietate
fac nos dig\nos te videre
et videndo te gaudere in celesti pa\tria.
Pro tua sancta precamur gaudia
virgo mitis\ et plena gracia
cum instabit maior angustia\
tua nobis assit clemencia.
Virgo per tuum filium
per\ patrem et paraclitum
tu mecum sis ad obitum\
meumque muni spiritum
et per benedictum fructum
benedicti\ ventris tui
dirige nos hodie
et in omni\ tempore
in viam salutis eterne. Amen.

Pater\
