The Friends launched FCBG Film Competition 2016 last night. The theme for this year's competition is "Colour in the Cruickshank Botanic Garden" and is open to everyone. So get out in the garden and get looking at colour.
Films should be one-minute (60 seconds); filmed in the Cruickshank Botanic Garden and submitted at any time before the closing date of 5pm BST Monday 12th September 2016. Tern TV, Station House Media Unit (SHMU) and the University of Aberdeen video services are again supporting the competition: providing their time, expertise, judges, zest and work-experience opportunities for winners. FCBG give money for the three prizes of £100 each.
2015 winning films can be seen on the Friends webpage and all short-listed entries from 2015 are on Facebook. In this way FCBG Film presents the plants of Aberdeen’s Botanic Garden to a worldwide online audience. Visitors making it to the actual garden through the gate on Chanonry also are inspired to look at the plants and the garden in new ways: the magic of the film maker. Competition Rules and Submission Forms are available for download below. If you would like more information please contact Vilma McAdam, firstname.lastname@example.org.
