Notes:

A coffin-shaped mortstone fitted with three iron lifting hooks set into lead lies in the graveyard around the 12th century church of St Nicholas.The stone is unusual in that it is anchored by two iron straps passing across the stone and fastened to metal rods inserted into the soil to an unknown depth. The lifting hooks suggest that it was meant to be re-used on a series of new graves.
