Power of Partnership

Power of Partnership

The power of partnership

Aberdeen is committed to a special relationship with the US, one that continues to reflect and celebrate our deep and historic ties, and recognises the shared contemporary value of educational relations between our nations.

We are welcoming more American students to Aberdeen and Scotland than ever before, and have more than 35 student exchanges with universities and colleges across the US from St Olaf College in Minnesota and Texas A&M University to the State University of New York (SUNY) and the University of Florida.

Our alumni family in America includes lawyers, journalists, scientists, doctors, business and civic leaders and among our honorary graduates are the Grammy award-winning opera star Jessye Norman, American choral composer Morten Lauridsen, President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York Dr Vartan Gregorian and the renowned Harvard professor and critic Helen Vendler.

Partnership is the best way for us to flourish across the globe. That’s why we are reaching out to our alumni, friends, supporters and like-minded business, cultural and educational organisations. We are charting the future of Aberdeen in America and invite you to join us on that journey.
