University Lunch 2022
-

This is a past event

Join us for an afternoon of great company, delicious food and gentle music and hear from our informative speaker, Professor Abbe Brown, at our relaunched University Lunch, taking place at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa on Tuesday 15 November. Although formerly known as the Ladies' Lunch, this year's event will again follow the University's principle of being "open to all" so everyone is welcome to join us!

Abbe Brown is Professor of Intellectual Property Law and the Dean for Student Support. In her role as Dean, Abbe leads the delivery of pastoral support and the further embedding of inclusion and accessibility across the University and has led the University’s commitment to join Universities of Sanctuary – a national network working to make Higher Education institutions places of safety, solidarity and empowerment for people seeking sanctuary. Universities of Sanctuary, alongside the Shining Lights Scholarships, for students with refugee or asylum seeker status, will be the central focus of Abbe’s talk for this year’s University Lunch.

Hosted by University Rector, and Aberdeen graduate, Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, the Lunch will raise funds for the Shining Lights Scholarships to support students fleeing violence and aggression around the globe and seeking sanctuary at Aberdeen.

Ticket price includes a drink on arrival, 2-course meal with a glass of wine/soft drink, followed by coffee, mints and fudge.

Tickets are £38.50 each and are available individually or for tables up to 10.
