Kindred Nations: Ireland, Scotland and America - The Next 20 years
-

This past event was fully booked!

We are delighted to partner with the Consulate General of Ireland in Boston to mark 20 years since the opening of Aberdeen’s Research Institute of Irish and Scottish Studies by honorary graduate Dr Mary McAleese, President of Ireland, on St Andrew’s Day 1999.

Join us for a conversation on Ireland’s cross-cultural relations with Scotland and America and the road ahead, featuring:

Michael Brown, Professor of Irish, Scottish and Enlightenment History, and Co-Director, Research Institute of Irish and Scottish Studies at the University of Aberdeen

Marjorie Howes, Associate Professor, English and Irish Studies, Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences at Boston College

Sean McGraw, Visiting Scholar, Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies, Harvard University, and author of How Parties Win: Shaping the Irish Political Arena

Peter Moloney, Lecturer, Skidmore College, NY

We will raise a glass to toast St Andrew’s Day and the future success of Celtic connections in America and beyond. We look forward to welcoming you!

Co-sponsored by Consulate General of Ireland.
