DESCRIPTION:Join Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Edwards, Minister-Counsellor for the Scottish Government in the USA, John Devine LVO OBE, and Director of Development and Alumni Relations, Clare Livingston, for a lecture and networking reception in Washington DC.

Hosted by The Scottish Government USA the event will take place from 7pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday 28 October at the British Embassy Washington, 3100 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Professor Michael Brown, Chair in Irish and Scottish Enlightenment History, will deliver a lecture entitled "Aberdeen and the American Revolution: Lives and Afterlives".

Following the lecture, guests are invited to stay for a networking reception, with drinks and canapés, providing an oppportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, meet members of the University community, and continue the conversation.
