We know how important an on-campus learning experience is to our students and staff and we will be offering face-to-face teaching across our range of disciplines. We continue to encourage as many students as possible to return to campus for the start of term, where it is possible to do so. We understand that some students will not be able to make it here, due to travel restrictions and other potential factors, and we will continue to support you, as we have over the past year.
Our dedication to our student community has resulted in us being ranked 5th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2021 and we aim to continue to offer this excellent student experience in as safe an environment as possible. We will continue to follow Scottish Government and NHS advice and ensure all required measures are in place so that you can enjoy your time in Aberdeen knowing that we're doing all we can to keep you safe.
Our students will have the opportunity to learn and interact with peers and staff in classroom environments. The format of face-to-face classroom delivery will vary depending on the discipline, and will include activities such as group work, small group lectures, lab and computer-based practicals, performance, field work, clinical skills, and placements. Alongside campus-based teaching, students will have access to online teaching materials that will support the overall learning experience enabling interactive engagement in multiple formats.
Students who are unable to travel to Aberdeen will be able to access online teaching during the first semester until they are able to attend in person. *
*Some subject areas such as medicine must be studied on campus. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
