·Internal Structure of Mass Transport Deposits: 3D Seismic and Outcrop Perspectives

Outline
· Research project using outcrop data to constrain the reservoir properties of mass transport deposits in the subsurface. The research aims to identify various styles of mass transport deposits (as reflected in meso-scale (i.e. cm to tens of metres) and the associated texture and structure. Macro-scale (i.e. tens to hundreds of metres) structure and lithology distribution will also be investigated, using outcrops ranging up to seismic scale where possible. Meso-scale data would be applied at core scale, and macro-scale data will be applied at seismic scale.
