Armed Forces Evening: "Life as a Doctor in the Army / Navy / Airforce..."
Monday 13th November, 6.00pm (Buffet from 5.30pm)
Med Chi, Medical School

A fascinating evening of presentations given by Doctors who have served in the armed forces. Speakers included: Mr Malcolm Loudon, General Surgery, Territorial Army. Dr Andrew Robinson, Psychiatry, Territorial Army. Dr James Grieve, Forensic Pathology, Army. Dr Phil Booth, Neonatology, Royal Air Force. Dr Sean Miles, General Medicine, Royal Navy. The evening was attended by over 50 students and staff.

Weekend Away to Lochnagar
3rd-5th November
Allt-Na-Giubhsaich Bothy, Lochnagar & Surrounding Area

A fantastic weekend away on some of the biggest mountains in Scotland. Finishing off with the now-famous WMS fireworks display! Despite the weather, much fun was had by all.

18 members learnt about the principles of wilderness first-aid and had some
fun in the wild! Thanks to Dr Sarath Kasthala, an
A&E Clinical Teaching Fellow with a specialist interest in Expedition
Medicine, who facilitated the workshop.
