Sponsored Haunted Sleepover - Halloween 2008!!!

On Friday 31st October, at about 10 p.m., we will be holding a Sponsored Haunted Sleepover in the Library of Haddo House (about 20 miles north of Aberdeen). Those joining in, please bring a sleeping bag, warm clothing, & something to ward off the ghosts!

The Haddo House ghost is the youngest son of the 1st Marquis of Aberdeen, Lord Archibald Gordon, who was killed in a car accident. His ghost has been seen in the House after dark...

Torcher Parade - Saturday 26th April

Our Gilbert and Sullivan float will be stationed at Fraser Noble car park on the uni campus near the hub.

8:00 am - a lovely time of morning where people who would like to be involved in the fun of building the float meet at the above destination!
8.30 am - the supplies will be unleashed! (on a first-come-first-serve basis - tense stuff!)
10:00 am - I believe is when paint arrives
5:00 pm - time up! the lorry drivers will come to collect our works of art!

6:15 pm - for those of you who want to be on the float but don't want to help build, arrive at this time at Gallowgate. (Or Marischal College at 6:45 if, like me, you don't know what Gallowgate is!) in costume of your choice, as long as it's Sweeney Todd!

7:30 pm - The parade BEGINS!

The after-party will be at the RGU Union.

Dress for unpredictable weather! PLEASE - Bring along tools, as the SACC will only have so much that they can provide people with.
Hope you're excited, see you then!

Email text Tom (07708305376) if you have any queries.

Sunday 20th April  - DVD Showing

We've all been eagerly awaiting the release of the Ida DVD. As suggested by members of the society it would be nice to meet up and watch it on the big screen... so to speak! On the above date is when we have decided to host this DVD showing event at 6:30 pm in MacRobert Lecture Theatre.

It is of course Free for all G and S Society members and a charge of £1 to the friends you will hopefully bring along who are non-members.

DVD's are on sale for £10 each. Some of you have already ordered copies but there will be copies for those of you who haven't ordered any to buy on the day. There will also be cookies, so it is an event not to be missed!

Next Year's Show...

...was decided at the AGM part 1, and will be Ruddigore.
