UK Baltic Study Group

 

Events:

This year’s Annual Meeting of the UK Baltic Study Group will take place at the University of Aberdeen on Saturday, 28 June 2008. We will begin at 11.00 with the UKBSG members’ meeting (coffee will be provided), followed by lunch at 12.30. From 14.00-16.00 we will have the following three papers:

Annika Bergman-Rosamond, Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Leicester
‘Human Security in the Baltic Sea Region - Cosmopolitan Protection of Individuals’

Richard Mole, UCL-SSEES, University of London
‘Representations of Gays and Lesbians in the Baltic States: a Comparison of Estonia and Latvia’

Paul Jordan, Department of Central and East European Studies, University of Glasgow
‘The Rise and Fall of the Baltic Tiger: Estonia in Eurovision’

Attendance at the event is free for UK Baltic Study Group members. Anyone wishing to attend who is not a member will be asked to pay the 2007-08 annual membership fee of £10.
