Professor J.J.R. MacLeod
| The Nobel Prize in Physiology & Medicine was presented to Professor J.J.R. MacLeod, a graduate of Aberdeen University and Regius Professor of Physiology in Aberdeen between 1928 and 1945. The prize was awarded jointly with F.G. Banting for the discovery of insulin at Ottowa University in 1923. Each subsequently shared their prize with J.B. Collip and C.H. Best respectively.
