The Mammal Society - the voice for British mammals

The Mammal Society and the People's Trust For Endangered Species recently completed a survey of the mammals that people see in their gardens. The survey was a great success and we have received records for over 3,500 gardens. The data are still being analysed but here we provide, in the form of distribution maps, a foretaste of what is to come. In due course these maps will be replaced with interactive versions allowing you to zoom in and out, to pan across the country, to get species lists for particular locations, and much, much more.

The following maps are currently available:

The locations of the gardens

Insectivores
Rodents
Carnivores
European mole dormice red fox
hedgehog yellow-necked mouse badger
 Deer
wood mouse
muntjac squirrels
roe deer harvest mouse

The Mammal Society - the voice for British mammals, and the only organisation solely
dedicated to the study and conservation of British mammals.
