70 species This group is made up of shell-less vermiform molluscs; which construct burrows in soft marine sediments which they inhabit head downwards, ingesting sediment. They range in length from 2 mm - 14 cm. There is no foot present and the mantle covers the entire body. Many typical molluscan characteristics are either absent or reduced. |
