Cuckoos and turacos
Members of this order are closely related to the parrots, with similar feet. They have no protuberance or hook on the upper bill. There are two families.

Family Musophagidae
Turacos and plantain eaters: 20 species
These birds are often brilliantly coloured with long tails, high crests and fourth toes that can be turned forwards. They feed on fruit and insects.
Family Cuculidae
Cuckoos: 127 species
Cuckoos are slender birds with long tails, down-curved bills and pointed wings, found in all the warmer regions of the world.
