Using the university’s wonderful Cruickshank Botanic Garden and fantastic Zoology Museum the centre aims to inspire everyone in the living environment.
Our hands-on education room also lets visitors see nature in close-up! Come and meet the geckos, the gorgeous fire salamanders and handle anything from spiky monkey puzzle leaves to huge skulls, snake skins and whale bones!
We are pleased to announce that in July 2008 we were awarded Eco Centre status. Our Action Plan, Eco Code and plan for the "Sustainable Management of the Natural History Centre" are all available to view in the centre's education room.
Although originally founded by Conoco (U.K.) Limited the centre is now fully supported by the University of Aberdeen.

The School of Biological Sciences maintains the garden and museum.
