Studying Living Things?

Come for a morning or afternoon exploration of our amazing living world and take part in several hands-on activities.

Our aim is to give your class real experiences of the knowledge they are gaining at school. Visits last approximately two hours and are free.

Topics we offer:

Living Things

Sorting and handling vertebrate specimens, using microscopes (classes P5-7) to look at anything from moss, ferns and flowers to butterflies, feathers and even human skin, comparing and drawing human and other ape skeletons, using keys to identify trees out in the arboretum.
