Mathcad simulation of sinc excitation pulses.
Download this file, save it and then open it in
Mathcad on a PC. You can alter the parameters to see the effect on the
Fourier transform of the pulse (for flip angles less than 90 degrees, the
FT is closely related to the slice profile).
Note: depending on which browser you are using,
and how it is set up, the file sinc1.mcd may be displayed as text in your
browser window (rather than either prompting you to save it or starting
Mathcad automatically). If this happens, take the following steps:
1. select all of the text in the browser window (use
Select All from the Edit menu, or use ^a)
2. copy the text to the clip-board (use Copy from
the Edit menu, or use ^c)
3. create a new, empty text file (on the Desktop, or
elsewhere)
4. open the text file in Notepad, and Paste from the
clip-board use (Edit/Paste or ^v)
5. save the text file, then change its name to sinc1.mcd
