The following concerns UK-based users of the Aberdeen Proteome Facility.
In light of changes to the VAT Act 2001 and following advice from our VAT accountants,
we can no longer accept VAT exemption certificates for the service we provide, as it is deemed to be an analytical
service which is not covered under section 15 (medical related research) of the amended VAT Act.
It is with regret that VAT will be charged in the future even if you provide us with a VAT exemption certificate.
