To provide though-provoking pictures of dryland rivers, their
sediments and settings, and related matters. I hope these will
aid understanding of dryland rivers, help with teaching the subject,
and stimulate
new ideas, projects and collaboration. These are in addition
to the images contained on other pages or accessed
through the links on
the "Useful stuff" page. This section provides images
directly. You can find further images by following the links from
the Useful Stuff part of the site.
I am most grateful to Geoff Pickup for putting in the time and
effort to kick off this aspect of the website by supplying a fascinating
set of images and accompanying explanation. So, you out there, how
about following Geoff's model and contributing or suggesting sources
of images? I'll help you set it up.
Please bear in mind the little matter of copyright of the images
- I must have permission to use the images for non-profit purposes.
Copyright will always be acknowledged on this website (it belongs
to Colin P. North unless stated otherwise!).
