| In this image, a river cuts through
four strike ridges forming several gorges. In the foreground, the river
exits onto an alluvial plain and immediately begins to meander. The
erosion on the alluvial plain is probably related to the early days of
cattle grazing when large numbers of stock focused on a few natural waterpoints in an otherwise dry landscape.
