This
is the GDSPDS website and home page. GDSPDS stands for a
'Geo-Information Decision Support Processing and Dissemination
System', and is a research project being undertaken by the
Centre for Marine and Coastal Zone Management (CMCZM) in
the Department of Geography and Environment, University
of Aberdeen, to develop an on-line decision support system
(DSS) to aid in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM).
The
project is focussing on the use of remote sensing, geographic
information systems (GIS) and the Internet to deliver information
that coastal zone managers need in order to make their day-to-day
decisions and is using the Solway Firth on the English /
Scottish border as a case study region.
