Upload your own Case Study to the Web

The WebCase project has developed a process to allow you to upload your own Case Study to the Web.

Skills required

No skills in the development of Web pages (HTML skills) are required as the development and uploading is based upon the use of a Microsoft Word template file. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word is required.

WebCase Word Template

You can use the WebCase Word Template to prepare your Case Study Word in a suitable format for uploading to a Web site. You can then upload your Case Study to the Web so long as your Web server has been prepared by the installation of the WebCase Scripts, see below

Guidance in the use of the WebCase Word Template and uploading of your Case Study to your Web site is given in the Manual

Using the WebCase Word Template to prepare and upload a Case Study to a Web Site

Instructions for Installing the WebCase Scripts on your Web server

Unix server:

Your Web server needs to be prepared to upload your Case Study to your Website. The Manager of your Web server needs to create a directory on the Web server in which to store the Case Study files and has to add scripts to the Web servers scripts server.

The instructions for installing the scripts on the server and the scripts themselves can be obtained from the Webcase project under a licensed agreement. Please contact Simon Heath (clues@abdn.ac.uk) for more information and a licence agreement proforma.
