This page gives you an over-view of six self-contained, on-line WebCase Study Modules ready for use in teaching. Each Module covers a different issue within the fields of agriculture, agri-business or rural economy, set in one of the European countries. They are written in English but all have glossaries in French, German and the local language of the case setting.
Each WebCase Study Module contains description of the case and its regional setting, and also include the material necessary to set appropriate student projects. The cases and their projects are suitable for a number of different courses and can be implemented in a course in a number of different ways. For a very brief introduction to the each of the Case Study Modules please click on the Case Topic in the table above, and then view the selected Case Study Modules. They are freely available for you to use – all we request is that if you use any of the modules in your teaching you register your use and give us feedback. We would also be most grateful if you would ask your learners to complete the Learner Feedback Form and return the completed forms to Philip Cain. The aim of this form is to help the WebCase team improve the design of Case Studies delivered through the Web to a international audience. Questions 1 and 2 are designed to characterise the background of the learners. Question 3 asks for comments on the ease of comprehension of the Case Study as presented on the Web. Question 4 seeks reflection on the learning experience. If you would like to give your learners a URL to a particular Case Study rather than going through the WebCase home page the URLs are as follows:
