The pyjamas that we wear during our training is called a Gi (pronounced "gea" - like "tea" only with a "g"). You can buy these either online or from some JJB sport/other sports stores. If you have one already feel free to wear that!
Generally, you don't really need to think about getting a gi until you pass your white belt grading and belts can be bought online or from sports stores.
If you've got the urge to part with your cash there are various bits and bobs you can buy. The club sells hooded tops with ‘Ju Jitsu’ on them over the course of the year. Speak to someone in the committee if you are interested in changing your dress sense.
If you want to buy a bokken of your own, a good place is Steve Sillet Sports on King Street at the corner of Summerfield Terrace. They also stock Gis of various different weights as well and belts.
Alternatively, you could also try Powerhouse on the corner of Loch Street and St. Andrew Street (at the back of John Lewis).
As always Amazon is good place to go looking for martial arts supplies too.
