22/11/09 - Aberdeenshire Council Inverurie Duathlon (5k run/20k bike/5k run)

Well done to the seven intrepid triathletes who braved the howling wind on Sunday to complete the Inverurie duathlon. Special mention goes to Matthew Alexander and new member Julie Erskine (so new that she didn't even put AUKT as her club on her race registration form) - showing their class by winning the male junior and female senior categories respectively! Superb!! Canny veteran triathlete Ian Edwards also doing well, finishing as 2nd SV. That's two weekends in a row where AUKT members have won races, we're on the way up folks!!

An honorable mention must also go to Bastien Bruninx - not only did the brave Belgian have to contend with the nerves of entering his first duathlon, but he also borrowed a bike which was a wee bit too small for him. His description of looking like, "one of those clowns on a circus bike", captured the image perfectly. Bastien, that must have been a painful cycle, you are a hero.

15/11/09 - Aberdeenshire Council Methlick Duathlon (5k run/18k bike/3k run)

well done to James, Alex, Kilian, Dara, Ian and Cathy - all of whom competed in the Methlick duathlon on Sunday!! A special mention goes to Cathy, herein referred to as "the champ", representin' for the AUKT ladies by finishing as 1st Female Senior in 1:09:54, by a margin of more than a minute and a half!!For the men - the committee showed they can mix it with the big boys, with James, Kilian and Dara finishing as 5th, 6th and 7th Male Seniors respectively. Ian and Alex also putting in good run/bike/run shifts. Well done all!

08/11/09 - Aberdeen University Sports Union's 'Ironman' (900m swim/10k ergo row/10k run)

AUKT swim captain Kilian Palop wins back to back Aberdeen University Ironman titles. A heroic effort from the Spaniard saw Kilian demolish the competition, winning the 900m swim/10k row/10k run men's race in a time of 1:32:37. Hugo Haller-Shannon (1:37:01) and Ben Christman (1:39:20) finish 2nd and 3rd respectively.

31/10/09 - King's Autumn Aquathlon (400m swim/5k run)

Edinburgh University Triathletes Craig Dale (23:54) and Rachel Boyd (26:02) took the sought-after male and female student titles in a hotly contested race. King's Triathletes are well represented by James Hand (24:38) and Hugo Haller-Shannon (24:41), finishing as 2nd and 3rd male students.
