We’re back after easter! Also, team training, and the AGM

Hi folks,
Firstly, training is back on as of tonight – Tuesday the 17th of April! I know you all have missed it, not having it really makes the Easter holidays drag on, right?..
Anyway, there is development of our Thursday session.
We have managed to gain the service of 2 coaches, so that session is now for TEAM players only AND the time is now from 5:30 to 7pm. Beginners coaching will continue on Sundays!
Finally, the annual general meeting is this Friday at 7pm in Butchart’s Meeting Room 1 (opposite reception). You should really turn up as we make all of our big decisions at the AGM and if you aren’t there, you don’t get to vote!

Training

Hi guys, happy New Year!
Training will start again after the winter break on the 24th of January.
Also, if anyone is interested in entering the SSS individuals let us know before the 22nd of January! This is a table tennis tournament open to any student in a Scottish university!
The event will take place on the 4th February from 12.00 – 19.00 at the Aberdeen Sports Village

2011/12 Is upon us!

Hi there! I hope you all had a good summer.
Just keeping the website up to date for the forthcoming few weeks;
The sports fair is at 11am – 3pm on Tuesday the 20th of September, where we will have a table set up to let anyone who wants to play come and sign up for the mailing list, and to sort out memberships.
The following week we have our first training session of the year! (this formerly said it was the 20th, this was wrong sorry!) It is at 8:30 in the main hall of the Aberdeen Sports Village on Tuesday the 27th.
Our weekly times for the season have been finalised as follows:
Tuesday 8.30-10.30 pm – ASV Main hall
Thursday 5.00-7.00 pm – ASV Sports Studio
Sunday 2.00-3.30 pm – ASV Sports Studio
There is also word of plans for club trips to the pub and evenings out which will be sorted out soon!
Hope to see you all at the fair, then at training, then at the pub!

AGM- New Committee

We had the AGM not too long ago, the votes were cast and our committee for the 2011/12 season has been chosen!
The new position holders are as follows:
President – Luisa Neinhaus
Vice President – Matt Robinson
Treasurer – Donad Pirie
Secretary – Pete Crichton
Social Officer – Paul Cripps
So, as you can see we have had a move about since last year with Paul stepping down as president and taking on the position of social officer, and everyone else stepping up a position.
I wont go over the whole of the AGM here, but the basic idea that I can remember was an emphasis on more coaching at training sessions. We have also decided to create the position of a freshers representitve, obviously to be filled next term by a first year.
Finally, we vowed to actually update the website more often! So there you go.

AUTTC Christmas Table Tennis Competition 2010

The 3rd annual Christmas Table Tennis competition will take place at Aberdeen Sports Village on Saturday 11 December starting at 9.30am.
ALL are welcome to enter regardless of experience and playing ability,and all players will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches, best of 5 games in each match.
