Hi Everyone welcome to the website for Aberdeen University Canoe Club.
AUCC is active in many different disciplines of paddle sports. Our members include keen white water paddlers and river trips are run most weekends during term time. Being located in the north east of Scotland we have plenty of white water available to us. With the rivers Dee, Findhorn and North Esk all within a couple of hours drive there's something to suit all abilities.
We also have a Canoe Polo team who compete with other universities at the Scottish Universites Polo competition and the BUSA competition every year. Another discipline in which we compete is slalom. we have previously enjoyed success at the BUSA slalom competion at Teesside.
AUCC is open to all students at Aberdeen University from freshers to postgrads, everyone is welcome no matter what your skill level. Newcomers to the sport will be taught the basics at pool sessions and given the opportunity to progress in whatever aspects of the sport they fancy. As a club we have an enthusiasm for all aspects of paddle sports and if you enjoy something not mentioned above don't let that put you off. We'll probably be happy to give it a go and you might be able to teach us something.
