Introduction
The AUCC is active in many different disciplines of paddle sports. Our members include keen white water paddlers and river trips are run most weekends during term time. Being located in the north east of Scotland we have plenty of white water available to us. The rivers Dee, Findhorn and North Esk are all within a couple of hours drive so there's something to suit all abilities!
We also take part in Canoe Polo tournaments, with teams competeting at both the Scottish Universites and the Scottish Canoe Association polo competions. Another discipline in which we compete is slalom. We have previously enjoyed success at the BUSA slalom competion at Teesside.
AUCC is open to all students at Aberdeen University from freshers to postgrads, everyone is welcome no matter what your skill level. Newcomers to the sport will be taught the basics at pool sessions and given the opportunity to progress in whatever aspects of the sport they fancy. As a club we have an enthusiasm for all aspects of paddle sports and if you enjoy something not mentioned above don't let that put you off. We'll probably be happy to give it a go and you might be able to teach us something!
