The drepanids
Hawaiian honeycreepers are probably descended from a finch-like, seed-eating ancestor.
Some have retained finch-like beaks and eat seeds, insects and fruit.
Others have evolved long thin beaks, and a tubular brush-tipped tongue, and suck nectar.
Others are intermediate in form and habit.
