History of 'New Aberdeen'
A trip back in time to one of the oldest parts of Aberdeen to discover what life was like in the medieval burgh, what was there at that time and how it has changed.
We will base ourselves in The Green, Aberdeen for this exciting look at how Aberdeen has developed over time.

The Archaeology and History of the Castlegate
Following on from August's meeting, we continue our journey in early Aberdeen and discover the secret's of the Castlegate area over time. Further details will be emailed closer to the time.

A Visit to Drum Castle (TBC)
Join us for a trip to Drum Castle where we will find out about the archaeology and history of this important North East castle and, as it is close to Hallowe'en, there will be a spooky twist.

Layers and Layers of Archaeology
Building on the last few sessions, we will look at archaeological layers and how we can build up a picture of the past from them.

Christmas Party
Fun activities and games to celebrate Christmas in an archaeological way!


YoungArchaeologists@Aberdeen meet once a month, 2.30pm – 4.30pm, at Natural History Centre, King's College unless otherwise specified above. The membership fee is £10 for the year.
