Great prose from two of the finest writers at work today. Anne Enright won the Man Booker Prize for her novel The Gathering. Her short story collections include The Wig My Father Wore and Taking Pictures. In addition to the Booker, she has won the Davy Byrne Irish Writing Award and the Royal Society of Authors Encore Prize. Jane Harris made a stunning debut with her novel The Observations which won the Book of the Month Club’s First Fiction Prize in the USA. Her second novel, just published, is Gillespie and I.
