vision lab

Facilities

Substantial external funding over the past few years has allowed provision of a wide range of equipment necessary for vision research. Consequently, the Vision and Attention Laboratories are equipped with multiple state-of-the-art psychophysical workstations, high-resolution eye movement monitors, an EEG lab, and many other tools for the measurement of behavioural and physiological correlates of perception. We also have established connections with Grampian Universities Hospitals Trust to access clinical populations. The expertise of the VAL members spans psychophysics, neuropsychology, visuomotor control and EEG.

Our facilities include:

  • State-of-the-art psychophysics measurement tools
  • Two EyeLink 1000 eye monitors
  • Two ASL pupillometers
  • EEG lab equipped with two
    64-electrode Biosemi active electrode systems
  • Strong links and well established collaborations with clinical experts in the fields of ophthalmology, stroke care and neurology
