The main aim of the Academic Urology Unit is to establish Aberdeen as a Centre of Excellence for Urological Care and research. The Academic Urology Unit is located within the Health Sciences building in a multidisciplinary environment with experience trialists, epidemiologists, health psychologists, health economists and statisticians. The unit has established a very successful local collaboration with the Health Services Research Unit. This collaboration has secured funding for a number of multicentre studies with income totalling over £9 million in the past eight years.
