The University of Aberdeen hosts an annual Open Day offering students the opportunity to visit the campus and learn more about our undergraduate opportunities. This year’s Open Day was held on Tuesday 1st September and the date for the 2010 Open Day is 31st August.
We also operate an 'open door' visiting policy throughout the year. All prospective students, interested parents, teachers and careers staff are welcome to visit the University by making an appointment with the Student Recruitment & Admissions Service. We usually require two weeks notice so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
A typical visit usually begins with a short presentation about the University, then a tour of the campus with one of our current students, followed by a visit to the department(s) of interest. The tour includes our halls of residence, sports facilities, library and many more of the resources that the University has to offer. This gives visitors the opportunity to get a real feel for the campus, as well as find out more about life at the University from both students and academics.
