Departmental representatives ('dep reps') often act as the first point of contact for members on UCU issues. Dep reps maintain noticeboards, forward emails, keep in touch with members in their own section and aim to recruit new members.
Through the dep reps network, AUCU aims to stay in touch with membership concerns and deal with issues that are occuring at local as well as an organisational level.
