Aberdeen UCU's work is carried out by members who volunteer to carry out dedicated roles:
- The Local Committee - an elected group of 20 members who meet regularly to discuss issues pertinent to local members and decide branch strategy
- Departmental Representatives - the first point of contact for local member issues who help to distribute UCU information
- Personal Caseworkers - who are allocated to members with personal casework issues
UCU also employs branch administrator who carries out allocated tasks on behalf of the local branch.
