Columbine Bookmark Merge
Columbine Bookmark Merge is a program which allows you to merge
bookmark files together, eliminate duplicate bookmarks, and convert bookmark
lists from one browser format to another. Columbine works with the following
Web browser formats:
- NetScape bookmark files
- Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) favorites files (16 and 32-bit versions)
- NCSA Mosaic hotlist files
- Opera Hot List files
Columbine works in Windows 3.11, Win95, and WinNT.
No problems were experienced when it was tested in Windows 3.1
For full details of the program, see http://www.clark.net/pub/garyc/

To download and install Columbine Bookmark Merge:
- Create a suitable directory on your hard disk, and download the
installation file cbm27.exe into this directory. Note: if you want to be sure of getting the
most up-to-date version of this program, then you should download the
installation file from http://www.clark.net/pub/garyc/.
Later versions will probably be called cbm28.exe, cbm29.exe, etc.
Alternatively, you can download a locally-stored copy of cbm27.exe (819 Kb) (dated May 1997).
- From the Windows Program Manager, run the
installation file cbm27.exe.
This will start the installation program.
- Follow the instructions in the installation program. By default, Columbine
will be installed into the directory C:\cbm\
- Run the program by double-clicking on the icon, which should be created on
your Windows desktop.
- You can then delete the installation file cbm27.exe, if you wish.
You are advised to read the program's built-in help files, and to make a
backup copy of your bookmark files, before using Columbine.
Columbine Bookmark Merge is freeware, but its author Gary Cramblitt requests that you send a
donation to an educational charity.
