4th International IUPAC Symposium for Trace Elements in Food (TEF-4)

Was held held at King's College in Aberdeen (Scotland) from the 19-22 June 2011

A continuation of the conference series, please check out the last meeting in Rome in 2009  http://www.tef3-2009.it/index.html.

Any aspects of toxic or essential trace elements in food will be discussed on the 3 days conference in addition of some traditional Scottish Social Events.

The call for papers is now closed.

The objective of this interdisciplinary symposium is to gather experts with different backgrounds to discuss all aspects of trace elements in relation to food, with special emphasis on biological effects of elements.

Topics of particular interest include:

  • Sources and transfer of trace elements into the food and feed
  • Analytical advances in trace elements in food
  • Trace elements in nutrition and human health
  • Toxicology and risk assessment
  • Other

Special emphasis is placed on research and development efforts which have taken place in the last few years as well as on emerging issues in the area. 

The best poster will receive the IUPAC Award.

Registration deadline was 20th May.  Late registrations accepted until 3 June 2011.
