I am fortunate to live within sight of the fabulous Sands of Forvie on the northeast coast of Aberdeenshire in Scotland; a complex of mobile sand dunes and beaches of great beauty and scientific interest. I never cease to be fascinated by the constantly changing forms and patterns to be seen in the sand and by the plants and animals that live there.
