Young Researchers using Statistics Symposium 2016

This is a past event

The Young Statisticians' Section of The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Highland Local Group are pleased to introduce an exciting new annual symposium for 'Young Researchers using Statistics' (YRS).

The FREE YRS symposium will consist of short presentations and include opportunities for networking. There will be a prize of £50 in Amazon Vouchers for the best talk of the afternoon!

This event aims to encourage young or early career researchers from the local research community who use interesting statistical methods to present their work to an audience for constructive feedback with the long-term aim of creating a supportive community of practice. Researchers and students using more advanced statistical methods are welcome, although given the mixed disciplines, talks should not be overly technical with the emphasis on applied methods if possible.

We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your research at the symposium!
