The IDS has released its latest newsletter. It features news of the latest research, publications, events and training, including the World Water Day, their new Centre for Development Impact, and other updates.
News
World Water Day
Access to safe and clean drinking water and sanitation is a universal human right. Yet 780 million people still receive drinking water fromun improved sources and 2.5 billion people continue to live without access to improved sanitation facilities. IDS' work on water and sanitation has been looking at more needs to be done.
Listen to the event that IDS co-hosted which brought together parliamentarians with representatives from NGO and academic communities to discuss how we can accelerate universal access to water andsanitation.

The Centre for Development Impact
The new Centre for Development Impact, a joint initiative between IDS and ITAD, will be launched on 26 March 2013 at the Impact and Learning workshop. The Centre will explore innovation and learning in impact evaluation. It will engage in a programme of activities including carrying out evaluations that provide scope for innovation, conducting research on evaluations, delivering training, and publishing lessons and innovations through a new Practice Paper series.
