International Undergraduate Scholarship

As part of our commitment to attracting the very best students to join our diverse international community, we are delighted to offer the University of Aberdeen International Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is worth one year’s tuition fee and is open to all international undergraduate students studying for 4 years or more at the University of Aberdeen (excludes Medicine). 

What does this mean?

  • If you are an international student entering into an undergraduate degree programme of at least four years duration we will offer you a scholarship equivalent to the tuition fee for your fourth year (excludes medicine)

This scholarship is in the form of a £2,000 tuition fee discount and is open to self-funding students who are nationals of Vietnam, China, and African countries, and are classed as international for tuition fee purposes.

James Lobban Conducting Scholarship

  • Aberdeen Bach Choir is a locally registered charity founded in 1913 by Charles Sanford Terry. An ensemble of professional and local members of the public, the choir consists of over a hundred singers and performs two main recitals a year, usually in St. Machars Cathedral in Old Aberdeen.

  • 20% discount on one year of Postgraduate study. Applies to to all taught Masters programmes or first year of PhD Study

CB Davidson Fund

  • The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.

Commonwealth Scholarships

  • Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to students from countries of the British Commonwealth. Applications should be made to the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency in the student's own country.

John Reid Trust Scheme 1959

  • The Trust exists to assist distinguished Aberdeen University graduates, preferably with Honours, and preferably in Arts, which failing, in Science, to continue their studies in Arts or in any other branches of higher learning at any institution outside Scotland.

Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarship

  • One Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarship is available for students undertaking a full-time 12 months Master of Music (MMus) postgraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen, beginning in the academic year 16-17.
  • Deadline: 8th of July 2016

Development Trust International Taught Postgraduate Scholarship 2016/17

  • The scholarship is valued at £2,869 which will contribute towards tuition fees.
  • Deadline: 1st of July 2016

Development Trust International Taught Scholarship 2016/17 Geophysics

  • The scholarship is valued at £1,500 which will contribute towards International tuition fees.
  • Deadline: 29th of July 2016

OPITO Piper Alpha Memorial MSc Safety Scholarships

  • OPITO, the skills organisation for oil and gas, is offering two OPITO Piper Alpha Memorial MSc Safety Scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at £6,000 for the one year duration of the MSc in Safety & Reliability Engineering for Oil & Gas degree and will contribute towards the students' maintenance costs. This is part of the College of Physical Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

The LRF MSc Safety & Reliability Engineering Scholarships

  • The Lloyd's Register Foundation (LRF) which supports the Centre for Safety & Reliability Engineering within the School of Engineering will fund three scholarships of £15,000. This will contribute towards fees and maintenance costs. This is part of the College of Physical Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

The Paul Mealor Scholarship for Vocal Composition

  • The Paul Mealor Scholarship for Vocal Composition is available for students studying the MMus in Vocal Music at the University of Aberdeen, beginning in the academic year 2016-17.
  • Deadline: 8th of July 2016

University of Aberdeen Law School Scholarships

  • There are two University of Aberdeen Law School Scholarships available. Each scholarship offers £1,500 towards full time Home, RUK or International tuition fees for one year. This is part of the College of Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

Boehringer Ingelheim PhD Scholarships

  • Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Foundation for Basic Research in Medicine offers studentships to outstanding young scientists who wish to pursue an ambitious PhD project of approximately three years in basic biomedical research in an internationally leading laboratory.

Ogston Postgraduate Music Scholarship

  • The Ogston Postgraduate Music Scholarship will be awarded to students undertaking a PhD within the Department of Music at the University of Aberdeen in any area of music beginning in the session 2016-17.
