International Undergraduate Scholarship

As part of our commitment to attracting the very best students to join our diverse international community, we are delighted to offer the University of Aberdeen International Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is worth one year’s tuition fee and is open to all international undergraduate students studying for 4 years or more at the University of Aberdeen (excludes Medicine). 

What does this mean?

  • If you are an international student entering into an undergraduate degree programme of at least four years duration we will offer you a scholarship equivalent to the tuition fee for your fourth year (excludes medicine)

  • 20% discount on one year of Postgraduate study. Applies to to all taught Masters programmes or first year of PhD Study

CB Davidson Fund

  • The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.

Commonwealth Scholarships

  • Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to students from countries of the British Commonwealth. Applications should be made to the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency in the student's own country.

John Reid Trust Scheme 1959

  • The Trust exists to assist distinguished Aberdeen University graduates, preferably with Honours, and preferably in Arts, which failing, in Science, to continue their studies in Arts or in any other branches of higher learning at any institution outside Scotland.

Carnegie-Cameron Postgraduate Taught Bursaries

  • These bursaries are funded by the Carnegie Cameron Trust and are for students undertaking a 12 month taught postgraduate Masters programme.

Development Trust International Taught Postgraduate Scholarship 2016/17

  • The scholarship is valued at £2,869 which will contribute towards tuition fees.
  • Deadline: 1st of July 2016

Development Trust International Taught Scholarship 2016/17 Geophysics

  • The scholarship is valued at £1,500 which will contribute towards International tuition fees.

OPITO Piper Alpha Memorial MSc Safety Scholarships

  • OPITO, the skills organisation for oil and gas, is offering two OPITO Piper Alpha Memorial MSc Safety Scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at £6,000 for the one year duration of the MSc in Safety & Reliability Engineering for Oil & Gas degree and will contribute towards the students' maintenance costs. This is part of the College of Physical Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

The LRF MSc Safety & Reliability Engineering Scholarships

  • The Lloyd's Register Foundation (LRF) which supports the Centre for Safety & Reliability Engineering within the School of Engineering will fund three scholarships of £15,000. This will contribute towards fees and maintenance costs. This is part of the College of Physical Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

University of Aberdeen Law School Scholarships

  • There are two University of Aberdeen Law School Scholarships available. Each scholarship offers £1,500 towards full time Home, RUK or International tuition fees for one year. This is part of the College of Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Scholarships Programme.

Elphinstone Scholarshp: Impactful Individuals in the Mediaeval West

  • This research topic comprises the interdisciplinary study of religious belief-systems in the Celtic and Anglo-Saxon worlds, and/or their interactions with mediaeval Latin Christianity. Applicants to this PhD theme are encouraged to think across Celtic, Germanic and Latin cultures, to focus on primary evidence, and to traverse traditional scholarly fields, for example, literature, language, history, archaeology, art history, anthropology, mediaeval Latin, Celtic studies and Anglo-Saxon studies. The successful applicant will be offered appropriate skills training, to include intensive courses in mediaeval Celtic or Germanic languages, Latin, and/or palaeography.
