Rectorial Election November 2011

The election of a Rector in succession to Stephen Robertson MBE will take place from 08 Nov 2011 to 10 Nov 2011.

Outcome of the Rectorial Election November 2011 Announced!

The University is pleased to announce the election of Dr Maitland Mackie as Rector. He will take up office on 1st January 2012.

943 students voted in the election which was conducted using single transferable vote.  The outcome ranked the candidates as follows:

  • 1st Maitland Mackie
  • 2nd Matthew Bell
  • 3rd Jim Henderson
  • 4th James Steel
  • 5th Colin Lawson
  • 6th David Craig

Voting

Voting is open from 9am Tuesday 8th November 2011. All those eligible to vote can do so via the link below.

Voting closes at 5pm on Thursday 10th November.

Postal Voting

Provision will be made for those students unable to vote electronically to submit paper votes by post.  Applications to vote by post must be made at the InfoHub by 5pm on Friday 4th November.
